About Leslie
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Edina, Minnesota. I have a full time private practice, counseling individuals, couples and families. My counseling services also include play therapy, art therapy, support groups and educational programs on a wide variety of subjects.
In marriage and family therapy, the unit of treatment isn't just the person - even if only a single person is interviewed - it is the set of all the relationships in which the person is part of including the family. The focus isn't on diagnosing the client with a disorder, but on what isn’t working the their world of relationships. Marriage and family therapy is: brief, solution-focused, and specific, with attainable therapeutic goals. Because marriage and family therapists work in terms of relationships, clients include couples and family units.
As a member of the Edina community for over 30 years, I am actively involved as a community volunteer, Rotarian, and school mentor. I have three young adult children and enjoy gardening, cabin activities and socializing with friends. Prior to becoming a marriage and family therapist, I was a teacher, corporate manager, and stay-at-home mom. I bring together a wealth of life experience, professional experience, clinical training and a passion for helping people's lives improve.
