Grief Counseling,
whatever your loss might be...
Have you lost your spouse, child, parent, sibling, friend?
Have you lost your health to cancer?
Have you lost your marriage?
Have you lost your job?
Have you lost hope?
Whenever we face loss, we experience grief. Loss cuts us off from what is familiar; how we live our everyday lives, how we think, how we feel. Life is changed forever and we feel unsure how to move toward the unknown. Things may look the same but they are not.
It's hard to know how to adjust to your new reality.
Be open to help…..throughout the grieving process it’s important to use a variety of resources to cope with your loss. Family and friends offer support by listening to us and supporting us. Yet, sometimes they are grieving too or our pain is too powerful for our family or friends to be of help. Support groups, getting together with others who are share a similar loss, is often an excellent source of help. Yet, groups may not be for you or the group dynamic may not feel like a good fit. When particular personal circumstances and history make the grief process complicated, counseling can be what is needed to assist you through this difficult time in your life. Kreofsky Counseling Services can offer hope that there really may be, can be, life after loss. Just call or email and we can talk a bit about how I can help you heal and develop the tools you need to restore life in your changed world. The English word grieve comes from the Old French grève, meaning a heavy burden you don't have to carry it alone.
